Terms & Conditions

Effective 22 July 2026 · SnS Errand Runners, Ghana

1. Who we are and acceptance of these Terms

SnS Errand Runners ("SnS", "we", "us") operates a digital marketplace at snserrandrunners.com that enables customers to discover, compare, request, book, and pay for vehicle rental services offered by independent vehicle owners, rental companies, and vendors ("Vendors") across Ghana.

By creating an account, making a booking, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Consent given electronically — including by ticking a checkbox at checkout — is valid and binding in accordance with the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772). We record the date, time, and version of the terms you accept as evidence of your agreement.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the platform.

2. Our role — a marketplace, not the rental provider

SnS Errand Runners operates a digital marketplace and booking facilitator. Unless expressly stated otherwise, SnS does not own, control, maintain, insure, operate, or physically inspect every vehicle listed by Vendors and is not the direct provider of the rental service.

Each confirmed booking creates a rental agreement directly between you (the customer) and the Vendor. SnS is not a party to that rental agreement. SnS reviews Vendors before onboarding and provides booking, payment, verification, and dispute-support services, but the Vendor remains responsible for the vehicle and the rental service itself.

3. Customer eligibility and verification

To book a self-drive rental you must satisfy all of the following:

  • Hold a valid, original driver's licence appropriate to the vehicle class. Ghanaian law requires drivers to carry their original licence while driving — photocopies are not acceptable at the wheel.
  • Provide a valid national identity document (Ghana Card, passport, or other government-issued photo ID).
  • Where you hold a foreign driver's licence, provide an International Driving Permit (IDP) where applicable, alongside the original licence.
  • Meet the minimum age shown on the vehicle listing (21 years unless a higher minimum is stated for a specific vehicle).
  • Complete identity verification (KYC) and receive approval before a self-drive handover. Verification is mandatory for self-drive bookings; chauffeur-driven bookings require a government-issued ID.

No rental will proceed where a licence is expired, suspended, forged, or does not match the person collecting the vehicle. Providing false documents is grounds for immediate cancellation without refund and permanent removal from the platform.

4. Vendor responsibilities

Vendors on the platform are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of their listings, pricing, and availability;
  • The roadworthiness of each vehicle, including a valid DVLA roadworthiness certificate;
  • Maintaining at minimum the third-party motor insurance required by Ghanaian law for every listed vehicle;
  • Vehicle cleanliness, mechanical condition, and safety at handover;
  • Delivery and pickup arrangements they have agreed to;
  • The licensing, conduct, and working conditions of any chauffeur they provide;
  • Honouring confirmed bookings.

Vendors also agree to separate Vendor Terms available on the platform.

5. Booking and confirmation

A booking request does not guarantee vehicle availability. A booking is confirmed only when: (a) payment or the required deposit has been received; (b) the Vendor has confirmed availability; and (c) SnS has issued a booking confirmation and reference through the platform, email, SMS, or WhatsApp.

SnS may cancel or amend a booking where the vehicle is unavailable, the Vendor rejects the request, payment fails, identity verification fails, or fraud or security concerns arise. In such cases any amounts you have paid for the affected booking will be refunded in accordance with Section 7.

6. Payments, deposits, and fees

Prices are displayed in Ghana Cedis (GH₵). Online payments are processed by third-party payment providers (currently Paystack). SnS does not collect or store your card or bank details — the transaction is handled by the payment provider. Some Vendors may also accept offline payment methods arranged through the platform.

Your booking total may include: the Vendor's rental fee, a refundable security deposit where stated on the listing, applicable taxes and levies, and a platform service fee where displayed at checkout. Refundable and non-refundable components are identified before you pay.

Security deposits are refunded after satisfactory return of the vehicle, less any deductions properly chargeable under these Terms (for example fuel shortfall, damage excess, fines, or late-return charges). Deposit refunds are initiated within a reasonable period after return and may be subject to bank or payment-provider processing times.

Failed payments void the related booking step. Initiating a chargeback for amounts properly charged under these Terms is treated as chargeback abuse and may lead to account suspension; please raise billing issues through our dispute process first.

How your payment reaches the Vendor. Each Vendor on the platform holds their own subaccount with our payment provider, opened using the settlement details they supply. When you pay for a booking online, the payment is split at the point of the transaction: the Vendor's share is allocated directly to their subaccount, and the SnS platform commission is retained as that subaccount's commission percentage. SnS does not receive, hold, pool, or remit the Vendor's share at any stage, and a booking cannot be paid online unless the Vendor's subaccount is active.

The payment provider settles each Vendor directly to the bank account or mobile money wallet registered on their subaccount, on the provider's own settlement cycle. SnS is not the payer of those settlements and does not control their timing. The provider's processing fees are borne by SnS out of its commission rather than deducted from the Vendor's share. Refunds, including refundable security deposits, are returned to your original payment method through the same provider.

Where a booking is settled offline — cash or bank transfer paid directly to the Vendor at handover — those funds do not pass through the payment provider or through SnS. The booking is still recorded on the platform, and the Vendor remains responsible for the rental under these Terms.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation terms are shown on the listing and at checkout. Unless a different policy is stated for the specific vehicle:

  • Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time;
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup may incur a fee or forfeit part of the payment, as stated at checkout;
  • A no-show (failure to collect the vehicle without cancelling) may forfeit the amounts paid for the first day or the booking, as stated at checkout;
  • If a Vendor cancels a confirmed booking, you receive a full refund of amounts paid for that booking, and we will try to help you rebook;
  • Platform service fees are non-refundable where this is indicated at checkout.

Refunds are returned via the original payment method. Payment-provider and bank processing times are outside our control and may add several business days. SnS may, at its discretion, waive cancellation charges in documented emergencies.

8. Vehicle handover and return

The customer and the Vendor must inspect the vehicle together at pickup and at return. The inspection should record, at minimum: photos or videos of the vehicle from multiple angles, the fuel level, the mileage reading, existing damage, accessories and tools present (including the spare tyre), and the vehicle's registration and insurance papers.

Photos, videos, mileage readings, fuel level records, and signed or electronically acknowledged inspection forms may be used as evidence in resolving disputes.

Vehicles must be returned at the agreed time and place, in the same condition as received (fair wear and tear excepted), with the fuel level required by the listing's fuel policy. Late returns may incur the late-return charge shown on the listing or, where none is shown, a pro-rated daily charge.

9. Damage, accidents, and insurance

Ghanaian law requires motor vehicles used on public roads to carry at least third-party insurance. Vendors are responsible for maintaining valid insurance on their vehicles; the applicable cover, excess (deductible), and claim procedure are those of the relevant insurer and Vendor. SnS is not an insurer and does not guarantee the approval or settlement of any insurance claim.

You are liable for damage arising from your negligent, reckless, or prohibited use of the vehicle, up to the applicable insurance excess — or in full where the insurer properly declines cover because of your conduct (for example driving under the influence or unlicensed driving).

If an accident, theft, breakdown, or damage occurs you must:

  • Stop and secure the scene, and call emergency services if anyone is injured;
  • Report the incident to the Police where required — Ghana's driver guidance requires accidents to be formally reported — and obtain a report number where applicable;
  • Notify the Vendor and SnS through the platform's accident-report form as soon as reasonably possible, and in any case within 24 hours;
  • Not admit liability or privately settle with any third party without notifying the Vendor and SnS;
  • Cooperate with the insurer's procedures, including providing statements and documents.

Towing, storage, and repair costs, loss-of-use charges, and costs arising from theft or vandalism are allocated according to fault, the listing's stated terms, and the applicable insurance. Failure to report promptly may affect insurance coverage and increase your liability.

10. Prohibited uses

Rented vehicles may not be used for or in connection with:

  • Any illegal activity, or transporting contraband or hazardous goods;
  • Racing, speed testing, or off-road driving unless the listing expressly permits it;
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
  • Carrying more passengers or load than the vehicle is licensed for (overloading);
  • Sub-renting, lending to unapproved drivers, or use for hire (including ride-hailing or commercial carriage) unless expressly approved in writing;
  • Towing, unless expressly approved;
  • Cross-border travel outside Ghana without prior written approval from the Vendor;
  • Political campaign or convoy use without prior disclosure and approval.

Prohibited use may void insurance cover, makes you liable for resulting loss, and is grounds for immediate termination of the rental without refund.

11. Chauffeur-driven rentals

Where a booking includes a professional driver provided by the Vendor:

  • The Vendor is responsible for the driver's licensing, competence, and conduct;
  • Standard driving hours, overtime charges, and waiting-time fees are as stated on the listing or agreed before the trip;
  • For out-of-town or overnight trips, reasonable driver accommodation and meals are the customer's responsibility unless the listing states otherwise;
  • Customers must treat drivers with respect; abusive conduct toward a driver is grounds for terminating the trip without refund;
  • The driver may refuse routes or instructions that are unsafe or unlawful, and may make reasonable route changes for safety or road conditions;
  • Passenger limits and the vehicle-use rules in Section 10 apply equally to chauffeur-driven trips.

12. Fines, tolls, and traffic offences

During a self-drive rental you are responsible for all traffic fines, tolls, parking tickets, impound fees, and police penalties arising from your conduct, as well as costs of lost keys, lost documents, and cleaning beyond normal use. Where such costs reach the Vendor or SnS after the rental ends, they may be deducted from your deposit or invoiced to you with reasonable supporting evidence.

13. Incidents and dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, raise it through the platform first: use Manage Booking to report an issue, raise a dispute, or file an accident report. This creates a tracked record with a reference number.

SnS will review the available evidence — booking records, payments, inspection photos and forms, verification records, and platform messages — and may mediate between customer and Vendor. SnS mediates in good faith but is not a court, arbitrator, or insurer, and its determinations on platform matters (such as refunds of amounts it processed) are made at its reasonable discretion.

Disputes not resolved through the platform may be pursued through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798), or before the courts of Ghana. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

14. Suspension and termination

SnS may suspend or permanently remove any customer or Vendor account for: fraud or attempted fraud; forged or misleading documents; chargeback abuse; unsafe or unlawful conduct; repeated cancellations; abuse of staff, Vendors, drivers, or customers; bad-faith damage disputes; misleading listings; or non-compliance with applicable law or these Terms.

Suspension does not extinguish obligations already accrued, including amounts owed.

15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Vehicle availability, pricing, features, and images are provided by Vendors and may change without prior notice. A booking is binding only once confirmed under Section 5.

SnS does not guarantee the conduct of any customer, Vendor, driver, or third party, and is not liable for vendor default, vehicle condition, delays, accidents, cancellations, or service failures except where directly caused by SnS's proven negligence.

Payments are processed by third-party providers. SnS is not responsible for delays, bank errors, card-issuer decisions, chargeback processing times, or payment-gateway outages beyond its reasonable control.

SnS does not guarantee that the platform will always be available, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. The platform may be suspended for maintenance, upgrades, security, or events beyond SnS's control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses — including loss of profit or opportunity, missed flights or meetings, travel disruption, reputational loss, or emotional distress — arising from use of the platform or a Vendor's rental service.

Neither SnS nor Vendors are liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including road closures, floods, strikes, fuel shortages, accidents, government restrictions, system outages, civil unrest, pandemics, or other force majeure events.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Ghanaian law.

16. General

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you book governs that booking; material changes will be notified through the platform. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.
